Perfect is the hobby killer

I have been working on a Japanese tea mat. The panel of melting interface which is preprinted is disappearing before I can even sew it. I could quit or carry on slow stitching to the end. This weekend I was teaching my Sashiko class I called my approach “the Bob Ross of happy accidents”. Photos are in progress. I believe I will try a different approach on the other panel of maybe wearing gloves.
